James 5:11 (KJV); Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.
In Romans 5, Paul reveals an essential truth to the Christian faith. He writes of how he glories in his tribulations, knowing that tribulation works patience, patience brings experience, and experience, hope. Hope, the Bible says, makes you not ashamed.
This teaching reveals that in any circumstance, the Lord always has an end in mind for His children. This was the experience of Job. His troubles notwithstanding, there was an end to them and that end was of the Lord.
When He says that His thoughts for you are of peace, that is an end of the Lord for you (Jeremiah 29:11).
When He says by Him your years shall be multiplied (Proverbs 9:11), that is an end of the Lord for you. When He says that He will not suffer His Holy One to see corruption (Psalm 16:10), that is an end of the Lord for you.
By understanding the promises of God for our lives, we see His end for our lives and know that every situation can only end with thanksgiving and victory.
The end of the Lord has no shame in it. That is why the Apostle Paul says in Romans 5:5 that hope maketh not ashamed!
No man who hopes to see the end of the Lord can ever be ashamed because God is true to His word.
Hallelujah!

GOLDEN NUGGET: By understanding the promises of God for our lives, we see His end for our lives and know that every situation can only end with thanksgiving and victory. The end of the Lord has no shame in it.
PRAYER: Loving Father, I thank you for this truth. I see the end of every matter because I am alive to Your promises made over my life. With this knowledge, I triumph over every circumstance with joy because I know that the end of my life is good. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
